AFAC-AGROFORESTERIES

AFAC-Agroforesteries is an association working to promote hedgerows in France through comprehensive tree and hedge development policies and the development of dedicated tools. AFAC-Agroforesteries has developed the Label Haie to promote the sustainable management of hedgerows AND the responsible distribution of wood from them. The label is based on precise indicators verified in the field. It thus enables local traceability and the sustainable use of wood from outside the forest, as well as the acquisition of the right techniques and environmentally-friendly practices. Certified wood managers and distributors guarantee an ethical and ecological supply chain. Regional deployment of the Label Haie relies on a network of regional referents and regional AFACs.
