NATIONAL FEDERATION OF FOREST COMMUNITIES

Founded in 1933, the Fédération nationale des Communes forestières (FNCOFOR) is an association of elected representatives representing the 15,000 forest-owning local authorities and all those involved in developing the forest and forestry sector. Organized through a vast network of 58 departmental associations and 9 Regional Unions, it defends the interests of forest communities in dealings with public authorities, and provides training for elected representatives.
