After 4 years of absence, the 2022 edition closed its doors on June 3! 🔚 FIBOIS PAYS DE LA LOIRE, organiser of this unique event in Europe, welcomed 607 exhibitors this year! These wood professionals from some 40 different countries saw an influx of 14,000 visitors, more than 20% compared to the previous edition.
An unprecedented attendance rate and a strong increase in the number of foreign visitors, the #cib2022 is the event not to be missed for the entire #wood industry

THE INNOVATION & PITCHS AREA – Hall 1
Afpia Solfi2A, Bois HD and Xylofutur, actors of the innovation, research and development sectors for the wood industry coordinated this area dedicated of exchange and discovery, with: pitches from the winners of the Canopee Challenge innovations contest, presentations of new products and services, new materials… And also, the Wood Tech Start-up Network for the forest-wood industry and its members that were present on the show.

“LES ARBRES SÈMENT” EXPO – Galerie Hall 4
An expo of sculptures by Paul Corbineau.
Discover 20 different species of tree either softwood or hardwood and their luxurious sexuality with little grain of fantasy! Trees have forever been colonising the earth via their seeds. Their reproductive organs are either discrete or flamboyant. Their seeds are of diverse sizes and are more or less known to us. The sculptures of this expo are all fashioned in the wood of the represented species. They should be read from top to bottom so as to get a better understanding of the creation of the seeds.

Expo “Notre Dame de Paris » The art of carpentry – Grand palais lower lever
Fifteen young carpenters and thirteen heritage architecture students studied, researched, designed, shaped and assembled these reproductions in order to highlight this wooden frame, now lost by fire, which was called “the forest”. Whether one is a believer or not, Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral remains a masterpiece of architecture and construction. It is in the hearts of Parisians and most people who have ever visited it.
This expo aims to show the know-how implemented by the former builders, which still today are perpetuated and transmitted to future generations of carpenters, roofers, stonemasons, not to mention all the other trades. We hope that it will bring about vocations among younger people, as well as sharing the experience with all those who work in construction.
